I have been sewing for 50 plus years and come from a long line of garment experts—my mother helped support the family as a very fine seamstress, my grandfather owned lace factories in Europe, and my great-grandfather built one of the first ready-to-wear men's shirt factories in Germany. My studies have included couture construction and patternmaking at Apparel Arts in San Francisco and elsewhere. I am passionate about sewing and love the elegance of a well made garment. I love to teach sewing to adults and enjoy the satisfaction of helping my students tap into their creativity.

I serve all of Sonoma County and the surrounding areas.

Marguerite --

Just a note to thank you again for tackling our English-pattern/birthday-gift project.  Our daughter is thrilled.  She was still at school when I dropped the coat off at her house.  So I just received an e-mail from her telling me what a beautiful job had been done on the the coat.  She said that the hems at the wrists and knees were perfect.  She also added, “And I do love all the pockets.”

Thank you....again and again!

Hi Marguerite -

I just wanted to send you a note to say thank you so much for your beautiful work on my dress! I tried it on again after Ryan picked it up, and the length is perfect. I really could not have imagined it turning out any better - I love the way you altered the back, the fit around my chest and shoulders is just right... and it was a pleasure working with you throughout the process. I know my Mom will be thrilled to see it re-imagined, too.

Thank you again for all your time and skill that went into the dress!
